Keystone

We went skiing on November 8th! That has to be some kind of record.

Even with a cast, Treyton still made it to the top for opening weekend.

Trinity skiied all day while Steve and I took turns hanging out with Treyton. I think I probably had the best time of anyone. Trey and I rode the gondola. We spent a lot of time playing around town, too.

When it was my turn to ski with Trinity, I couldn't believe my eyes! She's awesome! I could barely keep up.

SSA Coffee

SSA stands for Schlumberger Spousal Association. The Denver chapter is full of amazing, interesting, and beautiful ladies. These mornings always remind me of a United Nations meeting. For example, today I hosted ladies from Ireland, Venezuela, Pakistan, Malaysia, Alaska, and others from sea to shining sea. It was lovely. I only have a picture before they arrived. I was afraid to spring the camera on my new friends too quickly :)

Just for fun, I'll leave you with this thought. If school doesn't work out, our kids are killer at darts!

Metal Mouth

Four dentists/orthodontists told me Trinity's mouth needed aggressive treatment. I searched out four opinions because she's just so tiny and cute. It was hard for me to believe there was something going on that couldn't be dealt with later, but apparently crossbites can't wait.
You know what? She's still tiny and cute.

School Sock Hop

I thought maybe Trey wouldn't be comfortable going to the dance. Boy, was I ever wrong!
Even with a cast, the man has some serious moves!

Once the line dances were finished, he ditched the walker and asked a girl to dance. My heart melted. They looked so sweet. I thought maybe he had a little girlfriend.

But then he asked another girl.
and another
and another.
and another!

He's A Jedi

Trey's best buddies were ringing our doorbell as soon as the sun went down.

(The big kid is Steve)

The boys had even secured a wagon for their injured Jedi. Since they found it, they thought they should be allowed to ride, too.
Trey used his walker to get up the steps and to the doors. Too bad a Jedi robe coupled with a walker looks an awful lot like an old man costume. There was a bit of confusion that Trey did not seem to appreciate. There was some, "Look, Honey, a little old man!" Trey would meet it with a glare, and "I'm a Jedi with a cast." Most quickly compensated for their mistake with a whole lot of candy.
Overall, it was a great night. The weather was pleasant, and most of the sidewalks were clear. Check out this driveway!
Happy Halloween!

I Feel Your Pain, Chuck

Charlie Brown isn't the only one who had a hard time making ghost eyes.

Trinity declared she wanted to be a ghost cat for Halloween. It's harder than you think to cut eye holes. They started out a bit high, but we really thought it was manageable.
What ghost cat would be complete without a long fluffy tail?
It was only a couple of houses before the eyes became a bit askew and started causing some grief.
Enough of that. Momma used her muscles and ripped a face hole.

Unfortunately, that still didn't quite do the trick. She finished the evening like this.

Snow Day 3

I'm sure you are sick of snow pictures by now, but WOW there is just so much!
This snow is nothing like the light, flaky stuff we had in Canada. It's wet and heavy! It may not look like much, but that little strip of walkway I shovelled took forever. (I won't mention how sore I am now.) Without thinking, I allowed the children to have playmates over. Then I realized someone would have to make a path, and Steve was already at work. All that work just to find out it will be 56 degrees tomorrow and the neighborhood kids walked through the yard instead of the shovelled sidewalk anyway!!!
